The date of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event has been set for February 1; the launch of the Galaxy S23 series, as well as the S23 Ultra, is expected.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event has been officially announced. The South Korean tech titan has confirmed the date of its first major event, where the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be unveiled. The invitation from Samsung does not specifically mention the products that will be unveiled at the event. However, the three circular shapes, as well as words from the rumour mill, indicate that the Galaxy S23 series will make its debut at the Unpacked 2023 event.

The Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event will take place on February 1. Samsung claims that its upcoming Galaxy S series will define the "ultimate premium experience" and set new benchmarks.

The circles are also shown in green in the image. This hints at the introduction of a new green colour for the S23 series. No specifications or features were confirmed by Samsung. However, thanks to the rumour mill, we have a pretty good idea of what will be available soon.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series: What We Know So Far

At the Unpacked 2023 event, Samsung will unveil three premium smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the flagship smartphone. In terms of design, the device will be similar to the S22 Ultra. According to the leaked design renders, the phone will retain its boxy design and curved display.

On the back of the phone, there will be a quad-camera setup. It is rumoured that it will get a new 200MP primary camera. A 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto shooters with 3x and 10x optical zoom will also be included in the camera setup.

The display on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED. The screen will have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of QHD+. The 12MP front camera will have a hole-punch cutout in the top centre. The phone is also likely to be the only one in the lineup with a curved display. With a peak brightness of 2200 nits, it will have the brightest display of any smartphone.

The Ultra model will most likely include a 5000mAh battery. Despite the fact that the phone has an S Pen on the left side. The phone is said to support 25W fast charging and at least 15W wireless charging.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power all three phones in the lineup. The phones will also come pre-installed with the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.0.

The camera setup on the back of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will be the same. They will have three cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The phones will have a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The S23 Plus will have a larger 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The S23 will have the same display features as the S22 but will have a smaller 6.1-inch screen. The S23 Plus will have a 4700mAh battery, while the standard model will have a 3900mAh cell. Both phones will support fast charging at 25W and wireless charging at 15W.

The phones will be available in four different colours: Phantom Black, Botanic Green, Cotton Flower, and Misty Lilac.
