Realme has announced the Android 13 Open Beta program for Realme 9i 5G smartphone users in India. The Realme 9i 5G is the third Realme number series smartphone to receive the Android 13 Open Beta update. To those who are unaware, Realme has released Android 13 Open Beta builds for the Realme 9 Pro 5G and Realme 9 Pro+ 5G. Realme took to the Realme Community Forum to make a formal announcement for the Realme 9i 5G Android 13 Open Beta program.

Realme 9i 5G Android 13 Open Beta: Application Procedure

The Realme 9i 5G Android 13 Open Beta program has been announced for Indian users. Users of the Realme 9i 5G with firmware version RMX3612 11.C.03 are eligible to apply for the Android 13 Open Beta program. Those who meet the requirements should go to Settings > Software Update > Tap the settings icon in the top right corner > Trial Version > Submit your information > To apply for the Realme 9i 5G Android 13 Open Beta program, click Apply Now.

Those chosen for the program will receive the Android 13 Open Beta update on their devices in the coming days. Additionally, those running Android 13 Early Access on their Realme 9i 5G are not eligible for this program.

Realme has advised users to back up their important data in case the Android 13 update arrives on their device. The company also advised users to have at least 5GB of free internal storage and at least 60% battery power before installing the Android 13 Open Beta firmware. Users who have rooted their devices are not eligible to apply for the program.

If you intend to apply for the program, keep in mind that this is a beta build, which isn't always as stable as regular builds. We do not recommend that our readers apply for the program using their primary smartphone. Realme also gives users the option to downgrade to the Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 if they are dissatisfied with the performance of the Android 13 Open Beta build. However, such users will be barred from participating in future Realme 9i 5G Open Beta programs.
